How to VolunteerWe need adults and children to help build things like ponds and
walls and other structures at the rescue. We can also use donated
building materials, Reptamin (turtle food), towels, and postage. To
volunteer, print out the form below and mail or email to
info@tortoise.com. Here are some real winners!
Susan Tellem, co-founder of American Tortoise Rescue (right), tells the young YMCA Trailmates about the care of turtles and tortoises. The 30 dads and daughters helped create a new habitat and plant flowers that the turtles can eat.
How to VolunteerWe need volunteers to pick up turtles and transport them to the office, shelter, or vet. (We need you no matter where you live in Southern California because calls come from all over.) We need help making phone calls to legislators. And if any of you have experience in fund raising and grant writing, we certainly need your expertise. Please return the form below to volunteer. Thank you for caring. Despite the odds, it’s been a great year for American Tortoise Rescue and for the turtles we’ve saved. Please fill out the form and mail back. Thank you.
